I don't think this is 'grotesque', but it certainly doesn't fit this development. It would be great as part of a different development downtown.
Plus, I'm not sure where these renders originated. Can't seem to find them on any of Lamb's websites or TV City architect pages.
I like the brick, steel and glass, but it would be better suited along King or Main St.
And at the end of the day, this won't matter. The same whiny NIMBYs will complain whether it's brick or not. They make stuff up to cover their NIMBYism, but at the root of it, it's just plain height NIMBYism.
They have so much input because they barrage their councillor with messages and they show up at every public meeting. The things humans will do to fight progressive change is really remarkable.
Imagine they put that same effort into actually doing something constructive for their community? Wow..... sky's the limit
