I also have salvaged body panels from multiple cars that I've parted out over the years hanging on the fence between my driveway and next door neighbor.

But your "mess" is at least organized along a fence.

I sense disappointment, like you've tried for a long time but have not yet been properly recognized

Kidding!

Here's the home as seen from Google's last drive by. I can't imagine why he doesn't get along with his neighbors:

For someone so disorganized and messy, that is one perfectly square shrubbery to the right of his front door.

I suspect that the house must be packed full because the front door is inaccessible due to piles of crap. (And that's different from spare car parts neatly stored and evenly spaced on a fence, corvairkeith.)

HGTV was filming a show on Morrow and the street was kind of hectic, so I detoured and ended up riding by that house on Hardy. Code Enforcement had about half a dozen guys out there cleaning it up. Guess going to the news can get stuff done.

This guy needs to move to South Austin. People down here don't care. I have a neighbor a few doors down with a rooster and some chickens. lol

^That wonderful scene went away around a year or so ago when that RV caught on fire and burned to the frame. The last time I was there the house and everything else on the lot were gone. There's a new "pocket park" across the street that just opened last year. There's actually a decent skyline view right around the corner on Cooper.

But like with most hoarders as was the case with this one, the mess gets recreated rather quickly after somebody cleans it up for them.

Here is something you don't think about, and something that will probably never happen in Austin, but too many hi-rises blocking out the sun? Hello NY.

I guess in a climate where you had a lot of rain and overcast weather that would be a problem, but we live in Austin. Just look at my location on my profile. lol

NYC averages 107 sunny days per year, 127 partly, Austin has 115 sunny, 114 partly. NYC, total days with sun, 234, Austin, 229. Surprise, surprise...NYC averages 5 more days of sun per year than we do. Btw, partly sunny is define by 40 to 70% cloud cover.

Those are statistically indistinguishable counts.

Perhaps, but I did expect the stats for Austin to be higher and NYC to be lower. Just an hour and 1/2 north of NYC in my hometown, the chance of seeing sun, drops to around 54%. Maybe jdawgboy has an explanation for this. And maybe that explains why people in Poughkeepsie seem kind of miserable most of the time, that and the fact they live in Poughkeepsie...seems like everytime I made camping or boating plans, it rained. But for all the time I spent in NYC and mostly Queens or Brooklyn, I honestly can't remember it being rainy. Maybe we think its sunnier here because we are constantly reminded that for 4 months, it just about cooks our brains...
