Because of this, the limited number of businesses are so spread out and many will eventually suffer or fail in the long run. Our forebears seem to plan the urban fabric better. I think almost 1 million sqft of office / industrial is being proposed to the east of this site, which almost (ALMOST!) makes 68th Ave fully connect E-W.
Not to mention the under construction Marine Landing (8188 Manitoba St) complex at 340,000 sqft of office / industrial. And 86 Marine site. It'll be a Mount Pleasant Industrial area very soon.
