My first week in Ottawa was spent in the Market (my brother lives right in the middle of it). It was a good introduction to the city, and I've been back many times.
I like the mix of old and new buildings, the infill is really well done, for the most part. The other thing I like about the market is that it is very pedestrian friendly. The city has done a good job with traffic calming and routing, pedestrians seem to have priority throughout the market.
