Celebrate the cold with Front Yards in Bloom: Winterscapes
January 10, 2020
The freezing temperatures have arrived, but don’t let that stop you from making your front yard a winter wonderland. The City of Edmonton’s Front Yards in Bloom: Winterscapes program is back to recognize Edmontonians who beautify their neighbourhoods and build community spirit.
A winterscape can include snow, ice, lights, ornaments and winter-themed scenery. Individuals, families and teams can participate by building a winterscape in their front yard or in a public space. Participate by filling out the nomination form and submitting a photo of your own or someone else’s winterscape at edmonton.ca/winterscapes. There are exciting prizes to win each week.
Entries and nominations will be accepted from January 12 to February 17. At the end of the program, all submitted photos will be posted on the City of Edmonton’s Facebook page for voting. The winterscape with the most votes in each category will move onto the final round of judging by the Front Yards in Bloom: Winterscapes committee.
