I think Dallas might be in a competition with Austin here in the near future to see which skyline lights up the best.

The Bowie's lighting could grow on me. Although, I really like 360's lighting, and The Bowie's is kind of upstaging it from the bridges/boardwalk or the parks along the river. It was really cool seeing it from I-35 looking through the canyon down 3rd Street.

Here's my latest list of Austin projects that are at least 100' and/or 10-stories tall:

Good list. Right now I'm most looking forward to finding the heights for the UT System Headquarters and the Block 24 Condominiums. I actually think the Block 24 Condominiums have a good chance of becoming a new tallest for Austin.

Block 24 will definitely be the peak in the cluster of high rises in the western end of the skyline. The Austonian is already the peak in the center, and Waller C or the Fairmont will be the peak in the eastern end. Having three spaced out but balanced skyline peaks will look incredible.

I'd like to have the height for all of the medical center buildings as well and the Travis County DA building because I'm sure some of them would make the list.

Nueces Condos

Hill Country, you left off Nueces Condominiums, a 100 unit building on a quarter acre at 906 Nueces.

Thanks. If I can find a documented height for it of 100' and/or 10' floors I'll add it.

EDIT: I just checked on that building and it's too short to make the list.

Yeah, I'm thinking that DA building will be tall enough. And I want all the heights for the medical center just because there's so many of them.

I still haven't had any luck with the Hotel Granduca or Capital Ridge (same development).

The site plan for Capital Ridge shows plans for a second office tower, both of which could be 100'. But it doesn't have elevations or show the hotel. The site plan, by the way dates back to 2008.

That was the original plan. They switched it up and sold one of the building sites to the Hotel Granduca. The site plan for 2013 is the current one, which has the hotel and the office building sharing a garage.

This one reminds me of the W. I want it built badly.

Details from the article:
448 feet.
39 stories.
5th tallest.
500k starting price.
154 condo units.
Demolition starts this month.
No disclosure of funding, but it seems to be in place.

That's good news. This one is going to be one of the nicer buildings I think. I guess they nixed the brown accents and replaced it with grey. Their site plan is still not approved and released yet, but that should happen soon.

I must say that it has been an awesome day for project updates and photos in the Austin sub-forum. The updates would be getting buried and missed if everything was posted in the compilation thread as some posters would like.
