Jazfingr, your website has the Holiday Inn example
http://vegastodayandtomorrow.com/whereisthis.htm where tourists get fooled. It happens---not to frequent visitors to Las Vegas, but to people who have never been to Vegas and heard from a friend that "the Plaza is really nice." And both Plaza Las Vegas and the Plaza are going to be referred to as the Plaza. In fact, on your website
http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/the-plaza.htm you use the term "Plaza Las Vegas" to refer to both buildings. I doubt one could open up a "Mandalay Bay Las Vegas" and not expect a phone call from some lawyers. And certainly if Elad's Plaza were open first and Tamares attempted to open their one after, Elad would sue and win. And yeah, the free hot dog and coke might give it away, but I know that when I travel to cities such as NYC, sometimes I'll pay $150/night and sometimes I'll pay $600/night for the same hotel room, on different days of the same week. So most people, and all Vegas regulars, will figure it out. But some will get fooled. If you type in Plaza in Google, Tamares is #2 and the Plaza NYC is #3. That might change when the new Plaza opens up, but that's a lot of internet traffic directed towards the cheap Plaza. I bet the downtown Plaza wins the lawsuit (or more likely they settle).
