Hard to believe there was a televised water rescue just outside the fence during the floods several years ago.

My DIL, who was in the AISD HR department back then, said an employee was fired because he forgot to renew the insurance policy that covered the damages to the turf field. IIRC, it cost the district around $400k to replace the rug.

Nice. That's from Menchaca Road near Ben White. That's only about a mile away from me.

Taken from Loop 360 near Lost Creek Blvd. (pardon the wires).

Question - Is this by chance the Tesla plant in the distance? Orientation seems to match up.

(Either that, or it's lower end of Lady Bird Lake by the dam)

Awesome photos! Imagine that view of the Rainey cluster if all (or most) of the proposed projects get built.

No doubt. Also imagine a completed 6x. And Republic if it moves forward. And the Statesman redevelopment.

Oh man, that view will be insane.

Here's a pic I took last week of downtown with 44 East, Block 185, Hyatt Centric, and if you look closely Hanover T/O. You can also see 6x starting to pop out in between the Austonian and 44 East.

Can't imagine how epic this angle will look like once the Republic goes up. It will connect the skyline's west cluster with the middle cluster. As much as I like the skyline I still find it a little funky how there are three clusters, almost like three entirely separate skylines.

Dotting the (I)ndependance.
Also, look at how dense DT looks in that pic.
