This project has a couple things going for it. One being that it's mostly residential, and two a bank owns the site and is taking the office space. Hopefully BBVA/PNC is providing financing as well.
The BBVA branding won't stay because all BBVA branches are scheduled to be re-branded as PNC branches by mid-2021. But maybe they'll put a PNC sign on top.

I don't know why, but BBVA is one of the few corporate logos that I like to see on buildings. I'm weirdly annoyed that they'll be replaces 😂
Man, this thing will look good next to 6xGuad if it happens. And keep in mind that this is right next to the post office block, which could also go tall. And Republic.

Love that our downtown will have a few "hills" or clusters of skyscrapers spread out - this area, Rainey Street, and possibly the conventoin center/railyard area.
Downgrade. Losing the curve on the SW corner eliminates anything that was interesting about the design. Interestingly, the source still shows the designs we've seen before too. Hopefully this is the old one.
At least it won't be without company north of 700' with 6X and now the Republic. Independent and Austonian are just shy of 700' themselves. Not to mention the supertall and any other proposals that will inevitably come out with how Austin is growing. This one will just blend in - 774' filler.
