I'm excited that the abomination in the background will be covered from this view (10/31/16):

Interesting snap from the construction web cam, from yesterday:

The birds are either enjoying the view or thinking "there goes the neighborhood"...

In any event, looks like they're making great progress. Isn't it funny how some projects just seem to fly while others seem to be stuck in the mud?

I think the grackles have gotten bored with the Hancock HEB and decided to check out Whole Foods.

Damn, that's a lot of wires. There aren't even enough grackles to perch on all of them.

That's like a scene from "The Birds"....on another note, I feel sorry for whoever parked under those wires.

Oh, what could have been. This should have been at least 40-stories...

True, a 40 story tower would have been a lot better, but does anyone know if there's another tower planned for the other half of the site?

Yes. The second "tower" will be five stories due to a CVC.

My favorite part about this building is the view you get coming down West 6th Street. It really creates a walled-in feeling imo.

Cranes have been jumped and the window frames are being installed, with glass seemingly not far behind. I know it's a cliche to want projects taller but this building would have been awesome with like 20 floors of residential above the 15 office/parking levels.
