Think everybody needs to just sizzle down here, let's wait until we get actual confirmation that a major tenant is signed which would only make sense for this proposal. After the recent happenings in midtown you would think that Blackstone would be it along with the Hyatt. This is a beauty let's hope it stays the course

Well, as was noted, the financing for this tower is well on track, tenant or no tenant. Having a tenant signed just makes it more exciting, but the tower is on track to have financing finalized (Rechler said financing was already in place, but it actually won't be finalized until sometime before summer).

The public plaza will soon be going to the Public Design Commission for review, so it was discussed with CB 5....

Everything about this building is incredible. I’d love to see the Park Avenue Viaduct become fully pedestrianized and same for Vanderbilt Avenue.

I wonder if these issues were discussed at the KPF forum. This area is starved for greenspace.

As New York City invests in the future of its central business districts, Midtown East stands as a showcase for major improvements along Fifth and Park Avenues, with the goal of transitioning the city’s heart into a central social district. With a brief introduction by KPF President and Principal James von Klemperer, who also Co-Chairs UDF’s Board of Directors, panelists Fred Cerullo (Grand Central Partnership), Andy Levin (Boston Properties), Rob Schiffer (SL Green), and Madelyn Wils (Fifth Avenue Association) will share perspectives on strategies to reimagine and strengthen the neighborhood through public realm enhancements.

The conversation is part of UDF’s “Public Works” series, which fosters civic dialogue around new and forthcoming built environment projects in New York City. The event is open to Urban Design Forum members and one guest each. Approved for 1 AIA CES Learning Unit, the panel encourages active participation and aims to inspire new approaches to public space that benefit the city’s diverse communities.

Great news shame it's not pushing 1700ft+ of which there is scope to future proof it even more. 350 Park pales in comparison yet nearly the same height though this guys girth dominates the skyline like a mofo.
