The City are doing a pretty good job at finding temporary shelter for people who are homeless, in the face of
a significant rise in the number of homeless in Burnaby. They have an outreach team, with RCMP support, and now have permanent shelter beds, which wasn't true a few years ago. There's also more non-market housing available to move people to, from the shelter. Until there are more details about the circumstances of this event, everything else is just speculation.
