Snapped a picture today while waiting at the light. This thing is really gonna be big!

Also noticed that they're building something on what used to be a parking lot at 8th & SG, apparently it's this: http://www.rising.realestate/146-uni...spring-garden/

Looking at LVL North just a few blocks to the West on Spring Garden, the entire look and feel of the streetscape has changed (for the better). Given this project is of similar width (1 full block) and twice the number of floors - I can't wait to see what the effect is once it is a few stories above ground.

Even if this property has just half the street presence as LVL North Broad has, it is still going to be a very commanding structure.

I can't think of many new projects these days that would qualify for a beauty award.

At least it has window openings larger than a doll house, and maybe it will turn out better once its further along (being hopeful ).

What was there previously was so hideous and embarrassing that this looks like the Taj Mahal in comparison.

I cant remember if this was in the plans or not, but what the whole project needs is street trees and flower beds. For shade and nice pops of color against the yellows, whites, and greys that dominate the project. Does anyone remember if the proposal included street trees?
