NASHVILLE | 1100 Broadway | 41 & 28 FLOORS

Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties has released renderings for 1100 Broadway, a two tower proposal on the former site of Nashville's daily newspaper, The Tennessean. The 41-floor tower will be residential with the 28-floor tower being mostly office space. There will also be an adjacent 6-floor mixed-use building & over 42k sq ft of retail space where both the north & south Gulch sections meet.

This is in addition to the Asurion corporate HQ that'll be completed later this year as part of the company's overall North Gulch Gateway project.

I wonder if Nashville can overtake Atl as the capital of the south. Its growth is impressive. (I don't count Fl and Tx as being in the south. They're their own regions IMO.)

Incredibly doubtful given the immense population differential in the metros alone. This doesn't even touch the metro GDP $$$ numbers, Fortune 500 HQs, etc.

That's true by Nashville seems to be growing rapidly, whereas A seems to have peaked. No major companies seem to have moved to A for a long time. Relos seem to be going primarily to Dallas.

It might surpass Charlotte, but not Atlanta.

Even if Atlanta completely plateaued in growth and Nashville maintained it's current trajectory it would probably take the better part of a century for Nashville to catch Atlanta.
