some random pics from Feb 23, you can now walk around much more and access Lougheed highway more easily between tower two and three.

The old food court seating has been completely removed now too, the new one looks ready to go any moment, so March 15 is doable.

Forgot to post this earlier. Filmed last month and shows how impressive Brentwood is looking from east.

Is there an estimated open date for the new food lounge? I see on their site that the food trucks are leaving next week on March 12.

March 15 is what I heard a few pages back, having peeped through the curtains up there it sure looks ready, even if all the eating spaces aren't complete the space is ready to go.

Okay, so now Earls is gone from the website....

(where Neptune was supposed to go?)

See map here. Click on the View Floor "Level 2" and hover around for locations of the food court tenants -
it really shows that most of their tenants are services and restaurants.
Not all stores are shown, which is pretty poor for a website directory.

https://theamazingbrentwood.com/store/earls/
But LL Bean has appeared in the big space fronting the plaza on Level 1 (about 25,000 sq ft).
(so no supermarket or fitness club in that space) - seems like competition for Sporting Life which carries LL Bean (?)

https://theamazingbrentwood.com/directory/directory-map/

Strangely, when you click on Evolve Strength, the map changes to Level 3.
Probably the worst place for dropping weights if its up there.

Neptune Seafood is back on the list, as is a Nat's Kitchen and Taphouse (ie Nat Bailey = White Spot), but it's in the Food Court.

I think maybe they removed it to announce later on. The Brentwood Instagram is following Earls account for what that's worth.

Nat's Kitchen would be a new concept, it looks like.. the term doesn't appear in google. Seems odd to have a 'taphouse' in a food court, though? If anything, I'd imagine they'd toss up a Triple O's in a food court as SpongeG suggested previously.

Are there any food courts that allow open alcohol in a designated area?

PS - it would be interesting if Amazing Brentwood veered towards a high/mid end sports/outdoor apparel market (rather than high end [dressier] fashion).
That may appeal more to Lower Mainland shoppers.

They seem to be headed that way -
  • Sporting Life
  • LL Bean
  • Nike
  • Adidas
  • Louis Castel (golf)

Apparently Triple O's is being rolled out in Ontario.

it would be great if they did, Canada is so puritan when it comes to alcohol. In the states, a lot of the nicer food courts offer beer, same with Australia. You can get a beer at a lot of burger joints in Seattle even Shake Shack offers good beers.

Brentwood needs a good angle to start, it's going to be years before the retail is anywhere near being competitive, a dozen stores isn't much of a draw compared to the hundreds at Metrotown.

Probably every 2nd table.

If they're going to carry that stylish a look throughout the mall, I can see how the existing teflon tent roof does not 'fit in'.
