Brilliant move, that should do it!
In 9 years of mediocre Montreal Canadians teams, there's been one common denominator, and that's Marc Bergevin. How the heck hasn't he been fired yet?

I've been asking that question for years. I openly root against the Habs just because of Bergevin. They were my first favourite team because the '93 cup run was the first hockey I watched. If it were not for Bergevin, I'd have no problem with Montreal winning if it can't be Toronto or Buffalo.
Similarly, I totally root against Arsenal even though they're a club that's hard to hate (if you're not a Tottenham fan). I said when they hired Freddie Ljunberg as interim manager and then Mikael Arteta as permanment manager that neither guy is a proper manager for a club that doesn't have an elite squad. And Arteta kind of looks like he should be a good manager but really he doesn't have the personality or presence. A guy that sits on the bench with his legs crossed is not the type of manager Arsenal needs. So I root for Arsenal to fail so they can fire the manager just so I can be right and look smart even though I have nothing against him whatsoever as a person.
Bergevin similarly looks like he should be a successful coach or manager due to being handsome, for his age, and sophisticated looking. I also think he has presence, which helps others buy into what you're doing because presence can help you be very influential. But he just does not make very many good moves. He's made some real blunders.
When Babs was Leafs coach, I didn't root for my hometown team to fail, except when they were intentionally tanking. But for any other team I definitely want them to go 0-82 not only because Babs was a dick, but he was highly overrated.
