I believe this is a 60 Unit apartment. The 88 Unit apartment will be behind this one closer to the mall and should be starting soon.

Where in Stratford is this located?

Are we still sure it’s going to be CubeSmart and not the new BMR?

If I'm not mistaken they scrapped the 60 unit and opted for an 88 unit "L" shaped building.

As far as I am aware these are 2 different buildings. The 60 Unit number comes from the general contractor at https://www.facebook.com/RidgelinePEI/

Awesome. I really hope it includes the small office space rental concepts offered at some CubeSmarts in the states.

What's going here? They scrapped the two building idea and decided to go with a one building concept. It was all over the city council meetings. I'm confused!!
Then maybe the 88 unit isn't a go afterall.

The 88 unit building will be starting shortly (building closest to Charlottetown mall/Confederation Trail). As you can see from the image below, they are separate and distinct buildings. There are also plans for more apartments in the near future.

Thanks for the update!! That is good to see and is a big turn around from the vacant lot it has been. Anything going on across the Towers Rd in the near future.

City of Charlottetown gives unanimous consent to $26-million capital budget.

Dave Stewart ([email protected]

- new $3-million building on Brackley Point Road will be for the parks and recreation department and the water and sewer utility.

-new fire station, $165,000 has been earmarked for the design phase with construction likely to happen in 2021. The city was looking at two properties for the station but has decided to go with the Malpeque Road location.

-includes $650,000 that will enable the city to create a road that links Towers Road up with Spencer Drive, giving traffic the option of bypassing the parking lot at the rear of the Charlottetown Mall. And while no one will say anything on the record, the city is also looking into extending Spencer Drive to Mount Edward Road.

More Here......

Not mentioned in the budget....

The province has $21 million for solar farms but.....

"Once again, the oft-talked about Belvedere roundabout is not in the budget. Bernard said they’re still waiting for the appropriate federal-provincial program to open up before moving ahead. The project is expected to cost $5.5 million."

Wonderful!!

This is the demolition of the old Reliable Motors on Allen St. It's a partial demolition which will leave the former service bays. It is being prepped for a new Kia dealership building which is now on North River Rd. Both Charlottetown's Hyundai and Kia are owned by Steele auto-group in Halifax.
APPROVED - Discover Kia - https://m.facebook.com/steeleautogroup/photos/a.2166804663349829/2967150093315278/?type=3&source=48
