"Taking all these GD busses off our gridlocked streets" is not the correct statement of the overarching policy goal.
In fact, for a very large chunk of this city, putting MORE buses on the streets is urgently required.
The mission creep of "replacing the central busway with rail" to "get all the buses out of downtown" is very, very, very damaging to the transit situation in the older urban parts of Ottawa.
