I ask this for two reasons. Firstly, will this provide enough lane space / vehicle capacity in coming decades, and secondly, what about a transit option like BRT, or maybe even rail?
It seems to me that maxing it to only four lanes might be short-sighted. I direct this question to the traffic engineers, and those knowledgeable on this. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I mean the article does say they can designed it with the ability to expand to 6 lanes in the future.
