There's already ramps on both ends of the Kitsilano landing, and wide sidewalks & bike lanes on the bridge itself; while elevators would help, an underdeck isn't going to change anything.
And even if you hate anybody with a sailboat for some reason, the whale watchers, trawlers & charter fishers, party boats, house boats, VPD
and Coast Guard also need maximum height clearance. This post stinks of Tall Poppy Syndrome.

Only the centre option is dead; there's still tentative plans to put an elevator on the side of the bridge.
