So where is it written that a corporation can't purchase an MLB expansion team? How did Labatts get awarded an expansion franchise (the Jays). They're a corporation last time I looked.

I didn't say it was written somewhere or that it hasn't happen before in the 100+ year history. It's just not going to happen when you have 27 of 30 (28 in many ways) teams that are owned by multi-millionaire and billionaire families that do things their way.
