So... is there an accurate diagram of what's going to happen at Lougheed? If you're trying to get to Braid or Sapperton from the Millennium line, which station should you transfer at?

You could transfer at Production Way (on the same platform), or at Lougheed (need to go downstairs and up to the centre platform).

That cross-platform transfer without having to go down and up stairs is probably just as important a reason for running Expo line trains all the way to Production Way as for accommodating SFU-bound passengers without a transfer.

Agreed! In fact, I bet that's the main reason... along with dispersing the transfers out over two stations. If you're in wheelchair, on a bike, pushing a stroller you'd have to depend on TWO elevators working at Lougheed otherwise. There are many cases where an elevator or escalator is out of service, so not requiring the use of one is a bonus for usability. That SFU students don't need to transfer is probably just icing on the cake.

Easy transfer to Expo Line coming from PMC @ Lougheed, Easy transfer to Expo Line coming from VCC @ Production Way. Also, it keeps the platform at Lougheed clear, distributing transfers from two directions.

The only inconvenient transfer there would end up being Expo Line to PMC, which is a new travel pattern anyhow. In short, the least amount of pain for existing travel patterns. Nice!

Yeah it's great actually! All of the transfers between Burnaby and New West happen at Production Way, and all of the transfers between the Tri-cities and New West happen at Lougheed.

I happen to fall into this category, and I'm not unhappy about it. I currently go New West -SkyTrain-> Braid -169-> Coquitlam Station. I think it'll be about the same amount of time if I take SkyTrain the entire way.

Mind you, if I take SkyTrain it'll be two zones, but if I take the SkyTrain to Braid and then take the 169 it'll be one zone, so hopefully the 169's new schedule works out for me so I don't have to drop an extra $30 a month to get roughly the same service.

Heard 169 frequency will halve and all trips will go via riverview
