Having moved out of Minneapolis 21 years ago (lived there from 1972-1993) I don't see a whole lot of changes. They certainly could have done a better job on Target's headquarter building downtown! Since Target uses the red logo for their company, some red please?

Did notice more ethnic minorities in the photo's, greatly welcomed in my eyes!

After that especially cruel winter of last year, I'm surprised more people haven't hightailed it out of there!

My biggest complaint living there: lack of sunshine, not the snow and cold, which is why I'm living now with 300 days of sunshine a year!

Wouldn't it be nice if they'd bring back the observation deck/restaurant/bar back to the top of the IDS Tower!

Great pics!

Maybe you don't see a lot of changes, but I assure you there have been plenty. lol. Somehow you don't see any of the 2 dozen or so cranes around the city in these pics...also, there was quite a building boom around 2000...not as big as the current though. As for sunshine, we have more than anyplace east of here Just cold. I really hope this winter isn't like last.

you mean to say anywhere east of here but north of st. louis, because we are east of you guys and sunnier, and have a substantially higher average UV index, and that only goes up as you travel SE towards atlanta as we are almost exactly between minneapolis and atlanta.

but i get what you are saying, towards the plains it's generally sunnier all around if you are moving in only a westerly direction as kansas city is sunnier than us.

lol. really? You want to get that specific about it? Yes, I was speaking generally.

First of all, St. Louis is barely east of here and 2nd, if you want to get specific:

http://www.currentresults.com/Weathe...ne-by-city.php

http://www1.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/c...pctposrank.txt

Sure, you have a few more clear days, but less hours of sunlight a year.

IN GENERAL, Minneapolis is a sunnier place that points east of here I was very much generalizing. Specifically the great lakes and NE tend to have less sunlight hours. SE has more in a lot of places. Basically I mean we aren't one of the cloudier places in the country. That would be a better thing to say!

Nice. Love the warehouse conversions there. Both the new and the old are damn hip.

Pretty annoying to hear the phrase 'flyover country' when there's obviously so many good companies, arts, people, architecture and just cities in general in the midwest.

I enjoyed your tour!

No need for negativity. And why is ethnic diversity the holy grail for some people? Is China diverse? Phillipines? Japan, Germany or Argentina? They're hugely homogenous places and there's nothing wrong with that.

Great job and compilation about Minneapolis. I love it. I like all the street scenes you´ve captured and the nice residential areas.

Thanks for sharing and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Great pictures as the norm for you. I did find it odd that the first couple guys seen with their hands in the pockets had some rather strange expressions on their faces as if they've found something interesting or exciting to play with.
