Not to this photographer's eye they don't.
Given the difference in distance between the people and the towers your brain might be expecting the depth of field to be narrower and thus the towers to be out of focus, but a sufficiently small aperture will keep everything in relatively sharp focus. That and the people will be lit slightly differently due to the reflection of the sun off the ice.
