I love the optical illusion of these - towers look a skew but the outer frame is straight - makes it look really interesting. Those are huge!!

I think Hamilton needs to buld up in the 20-30 story range, maybe a few 40s, then try for something exceptionally tall.

Bay York Centre Sketches...

My draft wireframe of the first tower for my concept of Bay York Centre. 60 ish floors. I dont want to go taller. You can see the top view as well showing the footprint from all 4 surrounding side walks and the podium which follows the angle of york blvd.

BTW, what's this software you're using? Is it something dib dabs can learn to use or do you have to be an IT genius?

I use Maxon Cinema 4D - it's like Autodesk. I use it in a broadcast capacity at work so I have alot of experience with it. It can be complex to use because there is alot of new terminology to learn, and a ton of numbers and settings. I learned it, so anyone can! Modeling is fairly straight forward but textures, materials and lighting is incredibly difficult to master and make your scene look realistic.

Thanks but yeah, it sounds too complicated for me to bother with. Perhaps there's something simpler out there in the techno world.

There has got to be some home remodeling software that is more user friendly and can be used in 3D space to make a building!

I guess all you could do is reclad it and perhaps alter its appearance at street-level. It does seem like a fantasy, though.

It doesnt bother me the look of the brick - that looks in good shape actually - and I like the red color in the skyline. The building has dee-set windows though which look ugly. Perhaps windows could extend tot he face of the building to have a more flat look. The base level could do with a reclad maybe.

Update - Bay York Centre

Hey All, hope you had a good Holiday. I spend a little bit of time on this project. Here is a rough render of that I have so far.

A 2 tower plan. The tall tower are condos, and the shorter is a hotel and entertainment space.

Podium levels house a casino and other entertainment venues.
