In all fairness, these 'houses' look like the kind of shacks used to test the effectiveness of explosions. Maybe the government had a surplus of these so they decided to convert them into student housing.

My vote is for the TorStar building. Not because of it's Brutalism, I like Brutalism. It's the fact that it's ugly as sin and the base of Yonge St.

I think it's good to have some contrast from all the glass though, even if it sticks out. It's kind of imposing itself on the city! Yeah, I was surprised when I first saw it in person.

Looking at it from the Docks view of downtown I've actually since grown an appreciation for it.......

....just because it provides contrast from all the blue and green glass of that area. Breaks the monotony.

Where the hell are those student housing bunkers in London? I can't ever remember seeing anything like that anywhere in London except the old Wolesly Barracks.

They kind of remind me of those old tobacco sheds that used to be in Delhi, ontario s tobacco region.

Although this is Laval's tallest building, it is more also discernible as Canada's ugliest building.

Ehh.... It's not so bad... I mean it fits in well in with the rest of Laval, for all the wrong reasons of course.

Only as recently as fifty years ago, Laval was covered with bucolic farmland. Paradise lost of sorts I suppose.

Part of my job involves dealing with a company with an office in an industrial park in Brossard. I feel sorry for them for having to work there.

It could be worse, they could be working in Thunder Bay...

Brossard is not particularly ugly. Longueuil skyline is not nice but some parts of the city are not bad at all. I'm familiar with suburbs of Ottawa and in comparison they are generally as "ugly" or worse.
