I don't see more than one Texas city at a time seriously competing for an Olympic bid. If one Texas city does decide to go for it I would see all of Texas collaborating to support the bid.

If and when Austin makes a bid it will probably be with San Antonio as a partner. But we are talking 30-100 years from now.

As an aside I think it would be more likely that Texas host a World Cup before an Olympics. We seem to have the right amount of major cities, hotel rooms, and sizable venues to make it happen. The economic impact would be huge.
