As of today...

1000'+ = 1
900'-999' = 0
800'-899' = 3
700'-799' = 3
600'-699' = 2
500'-599' = 8

This does not include:
-99 Red River (office)
-ATX Tower East (residential)
-ATX Tower West (office)

Also...not sure of the scale on Intracorp's new residential proposal for 307 E. 2nd or if Stone Development Group's ~40-story (500'+) office tower will come to fruition.

Intracorp's second tower will be over 500' IMO, but which tower is being developed by Stone?

At last check...wasn't that the one proposed to be built over the Masonic Lodge? If so, I'm not too confident that one will happen.

Yeah, those 400 footers are starting to get lost in the skyline.

Great! I love this growth of the skyline! I know we have no way of predicting the future but do any of you wonder what the skyline will look like in say 2030?

This should push us ahead of Dallas in terms of height and
Volume.

The ATX East Tower should be around 950 feet according to the renderings. Of course, it could be taller or shorter if they change it, but that's the number I feel good going with based on the images of it. The shorter tower - ATX West, looks to be about 650 feet.

I'll do a list later, but yeah, with everything in the pipeline now, we would easily pass Dallas for tallest and the number of 400+ footers. Where Dallas still exceeds is having a TON of 300+ foot buildings all over the city that really adds to their bulk. Uptown/Turtle Creek is full of them, which really adds to the bulk of their central skyline.

Ok cool. Do you think Austin will eventually pass Dallas in overall number of high-rises or is that too early to call/a flat out no?

Dallas is also growing and still building towers, so unless something unexpected happens I would lean towards a flat out no.

But not superTALLS. Austin is definitely competition for Dallas & Houston
as technology continues to explode even more of a threat. Old oil is dead.

I think Kevin can pull the actual numbers up...But, Austin has far more 400'+ towers proposed, approved or U/C than does Dallas. The gap IS closing - fast. And, I don't believe it's too big of a gap right now.

Tower 5C has changed...it's now a 50-story office/residential tower.
