Saskatoon is just growing like crazy. The CMA added 7,300 last year. To put that into perspective, that's more people than Hamilton's CMA grew by and they have 3/4 of a million people.
Looking at it now Saskatoon grew (by numbers, not as a rate) the 8th most in the entire country behind Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. That's just ridiculous.

Saskatoon lost 6,000 jobs from Dec 09 to Dec 10.

If we look at numbers just published by CIBC we see that Saskatoon had the biggest population growth of the major centers yet it had the third worst employment growth.

I hate being a negative Nancy but as someone who'll be moving to the Saskatoon area (from Northern SK) in the coming year I'm really interested to watch how the city grows.
