The studies for a tower explore the effect of views on height and form. The base responds to the street and restricted views while creating separation from the adjacent building. The middle transitions from public spaces (parking, office, hotel) at the lower floors to private (residences) above. Thinning the middle pushes valuable floor areas to the higher floors and allows expressive forms.
