BAYONNE, NJ — The Bayonne City Council has approved a financial agreement clearing the way for a five-phase redevelopment project along Memorial Boulevard at the former Military Ocean Terminal at Bayonne (MOTBY), advancing one of the largest residential expansions planned for the site.

The agreement passed with only Councilman Neil Carroll voting against it.

According to documents from the Bayonne Planning Board, the project will include four residential buildings and one mixed-use building featuring both apartments and retail space. Plans also call for two parking garages, a landscaped park amenity area, improvements to Center Street, an extension of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway.
