I believe there was a discussion about this in one of the threads. However, I'm not lazy to look for it right now.

I don't recall what was planned for that corner. But the demo of El Mercado got some attention a few years ago.

What type of construction technique is at play with that plywood foundation and and all those random columns?

I like it too. But it's just a marketing vision, not an actual project.

The black pipes look to be plumbing stub outs for a concrete slab. The plywood is probably for some sort of form work.

That's a nice makeover. That reminds me of another nice makeover from a couple years ago - the Towers of Town Lake. That building looks much more modern now.

The renovation at 301 Congress is going well too. Inside is very nice. You can see it as you drive by. Looks like the lobby is fit for a coffee shop

1212-1214 W 6th | West Side Village

Seeking total demolition for a new mixed-use development similar to 6th & Blanco. Neighborhood association is in support of the project.

301 Congress

Not much of a fan of the renovations here, I don’t find it cohesive.

Interior even looks more dated than before.

Yup they really do. Not a fan. Put the sign elsewhere. Let alone I'm not one to be swayed or influenced by brand placement/signage, advertising and such, HEB doesn't need any advertising like this.
