The state of MRIs in Regina is appalling. My wife has been scheduled for a level 2 MRI (second-highest category) since last winter and is still waiting.

SHA recently (within the last 6 months) changed their booking system so that patients can no longer go to a different centre for imaging. I know a tech in Moose Jaw who says they used to get Regina overflow all the time, but now their machine sits idle for portions of the day. The booking system is effectively a single person who gets faxed requests and then enters them manually.

Moe wants Feds on board in downtown arena funding
Province likely to be approached on event centre proposals, but Premier Moe wants feds involved as well
John Cairns
Premier Scott Moe was asked that question Wednesday in Regina, coincidentally on the same day that city council in Saskatoon was discussing their proposed Downtown Events and Entertainment Centre.

Regina is also looking at a potential new arena as well as a new Aquatic Centre and other projects. Moe acknowledged there were even more projects than that, including Prince Albert also looking to replace one of their arenas.

While he seemed supportive, Moe stopped short of making any funding commitments for any of the projects — at least not yet.

Moe said the province was “always open to engaging with the municipal governments on recreational infrastructure, it’s part of the very quality of life and contributes to the quality of life in our major urban
With the election coming up, is there any chance that the government would commit to Arena funding?

I think the concern was on the cost for businesses along Street that Shall Not be Named. For all the money council has thrown and is throwing around, spotting businesses some cash to help with costs for business addresss changes and marketing might have been too obvious?

No go: Paula Abdul concerts in Regina and Saskatoon cancelled
In a social media post, Paula Abdul blames injury as the reason why she is scrapping her entire Canadian fall concert tour including October dates in Regina and Saskatoon.
It’s quite unfortunate. Who is ever involved in bringing concerts to the stadium are useless as can be. Like what’s wrong with these people there’s something not right They have this $1.5 billion facility in today’s inflation and they can’t even use it
