Hopefully we see them get into a tower or two now that they're venturing into that territory.

Does it matter? I hope they grow in every city they are in or enter and continue to be a successful company headquartered out of Edmonton.

So many great companies grew in Edmonton and left, now we have one moving to DT adjacent, that is a great thing.

Not sure about towers (yet) as they only build with wood (so far). Once they start building mid-rises with concrete, then they will likely make the jump to towers.

Yes... AND it does matter because that helps shape where they develop, invest capital in and what kind of city that it creates.

Fair enough. Nice to see them grow though. Always a plus for an Edmonton based company.

Real Talk Ryan Jespersen

What does the future look like for workers, job seekers, employers, entrepreneurs, and property owners? Is it really a doomsday scenario for downtowns? We explore the most relevant and interesting trends in this episode of Real Talk.

1:45 | Heather Thomson, Puneeta McBryan, and Cory Wosnack look back at 2023, then ahead to 2024, through their expert lenses (and crystal balls).

Cushman & Wakefield Edmonton

Cushman & Wakefield Edmonton is pleased to have represented a group of investors, including Yardstick Technologies Inc., in acquiring Energy Square, 10550 Jasper Avenue. Energy Square is a 13-storey 130,000 SF. Office building located in Downtown Edmonton.

The building has been significantly renovated, including a convenient entrance off Jasper Avenue with new lobby, seating area, security, brand new fitness centre and conference centre, outdoor patio, secure bike storage, and the new Bar Oro Caffé & Roastery located on the main floor. Wild, this is a building I'd never expect to be almost completely leased out. But yet, that gold has grabbed em.

Thomas Chibri,
Vice President | National Investment Team | CBRE Limited

CBRE Canada NIT-Edmonton is pleased to announce the successful sale of Sun Life Place. Comprised of nearly 289,000 SF and 83% occupied at time of sale, this represents the first post-COVID, large-scale downtown office transaction for which a traditional income valuation approach was utilized.

Curious to see if the updated return to work for some of the Feds will have any material impact on Downtown.
