I think Richardson, Harvard and whoever owns the MTS building will be upset by the idea of disconnecting them from the skywalk system. That is a significant hit to their leaseability. Being on the skywalk was the entire reason Wawanesa moved from Broadway. It's not about the few shops under their buildings, but more about the indoor connectivity for their office workers to the rest of downtown.
They will have to find a solution to this before they close it, I think.
