These shots made me long for two things:
1) The day that Pacific Central becomes the bustling multi-modal transit hub that it should be. HSR to the US is pie-in-the-sky stuff, and who knows if it will ever be built. But at the very least I think anyone in the lower mainland who needs a medical procedure offered at the new St. Paul's should be able to take a bus or train right to its doorstep.
2) The eventual union of downtown and False Creek Flats, once the viaducts are torn down and Concord builds out its plans. The current ~140k square meters of a half-assed park, sunbaked concrete, and seismic hazards are a PITA to walk and bike through, but seeing them from the air really puts into context the scale of the undeveloped parcels.
