I disagree that the South Loop isn't walkable. State is indeed very wide, which can make the pedestrian experience feel like it's secondary to vehicular traffic, that is true.
What boggles my mind is why Printers Row isn't the hugely popular spot it can be. The wine shop is always hopping and Kasey's on any given night has a lot of activity. Why the rest of that street can't find similarly fun leases is disappointing.
