That’s because the City of Gatineau has zero vision and is content being an unremarkable suburb in the shadows of Ottawa. Even getting 10 storeys in this area is a fight. And don’t even get me started on the nearby “museum district” which preserves dilapidated low density houses in the downtown core. Gatineau needs to grow up and completely overhaul its small-town approach to land development. This isn’t a knock on the people of Gatineau, just stating how brutal the municipal government is.
