Honest question... Are we
trying to remember Long Island City as a moribund neighborhood of gritty warehouses?... Was it better back then? Is the old chipping cracking Eagle Electric building as a desirable preservation goal as brick DUMBO buildings from the 1890's or the Sunshine Bakery Building? I honestly dont think so. The best thing about it was the old sign, the rest of it boring and charmless.
