It also demonstrates the stunting effect on the skyline from downtown being at the riverbank.

The other out of town angle that jumped to mind was heading back into town from Whitecap dog park. And you can only see River Landing (no street view as most recent predates that construction).

Central Ave gives you a nice view up the river from south of McOrmond:
