That’s great! Friday and Saturday are the best days to go IMO. Sunday has less on-track action and much worse traffic, crowding on bridges and GA areas, and super long lines for merch and food. My only tips would be:
* Wear shoes and clothes for a LOT of walking. The distances are far and you’ll want to walk the whole track; lots of different vantages that are good.
* Bring a backpack with a towel or something to sit in GA. Even if you have a grandstand pass, you need to see some of the various GA areas to really get the full experience.
* Food is expensive, there isn’t really any free water either. You can smuggle some extra of both on your person or rolled up in something in your bag. Water might be allowed to be brought in.
* There is practically zero shade in the entire site. It will be warm but not too hot Friday, but the bright sun can still burn you, so if it bothers you maybe bring a hat and sunscreen.
* Pretty much all the vendors take cards, but it wouldn’t hurt to take some cash.
* Go to the displays, not just the vendors, there is sometimes decent free swag.
* The tower is neat, but not really worth the money they charge (was like $40 during F1 last time)
* Turn 1 GA is great for watching the standing start of a support race or qualifying. The cars group up on the start there and sometimes there is a good smash up. Then after the start you can move back to your grandstand or whatever.
* If you have access, or sometimes on Friday you n in to the main grandstand. Then you can check out the velocity lounge and have a drink there.
Have fun!
