I don’t care for it’s design all that much. I just look at it as filler that will increase structural density and add height and prominence to the skyline.

The only thing I don’t like about Austin’s skyline is this maddening and prolific amount of blue buildings in the skyline. I don’t want our skyline to become that monotonous in terms of color and texture because it can add tackiness to it. But I’ll take whatever we can get. My love for a big city broad shoulder type of skyline outweighs my concerns over too much blue glass. And we can’t predict how long a downtown construction boom can last, so I definitely don’t want to take any of this for granted. Hope all of our proposals or at least the heavy majority of them begin construction.
