I just struggle to believe that the amount of "rental" construction happening in the city currently can actually be absorbed. Maybe there is something I don't know...
I don't know a lot about Saskatoon but the rest of the country is currently in a housing shortage crisis. Saskatoon may stop growing population wise like the rest of that province soon but I think the city should still look to the future and try to build for future residence now. I understand these buildings are big and scary but someday citizens of that city will grow to admire their accomplishments of their city developers work.

Kamloops is like probably half the size of Saskatoon and has plans to build a similar sized project downtown.

Saskatoon may never to be able to build residential projects like Kelowna, or Barrie or Moncton for that matter in Canada but I think it would still be a good investment in the future of Saskatoon if it tried.
