My grandmother grew up in a house that was on the site of the old BC Hydro building and attended the school where Wall Center is. She also learned to swim from Joe Fortes, so it’s really kind of neat that I got to learn some of Vancouver’s history from her.

I just wish they held on to the property they owned downtown!
