I was thinking one car at a time at first, but there was no room for that. By this point there are no more climbing lanes on the 28.

I guess my issue with accelerating beforehand is that I’ll have to commit to passing (unless that’s when braking comes in handy if something goes wrong). I’m the type where I will veer left to see if there’s oncoming traffic (assuming that the roadway is straight) and won’t go unless it’s all clear.
