Or vice-versa: In the cases of unitary cities like Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Halifax, most of the suburbs and exurbs are included in a way that they are not for Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, and especially Vancouver. (Calgary and St. John's are somewhere in between).

They should have mapped the entire CMAs for all the urban areas examined, in order to make the comparisons into fair ones.
