I'm a bit surprised; I thought part of the reason for moving from Clyde was that the 2-storey layout was not really working for them...?
I think the urban format was more about being street front with multiple active entrances, and moving away from a big box situation surrounded by a sea of parking.

From what I've read, they weren't happy with the performance of the Clyde site, but I'm not sure that can be pinned on the format as much as the location and awkwardness of fronting on what is essentially an urban highway. My view is that the only takeaway is that a hybrid big box-urban format doesn't work. I'd love to see them try a truly urban store that has real street presence and is on rapid transit.
