This is a historical district (Granville Entertainment District). Otherwise the entire street would be lined with 40 story towers.

They should be able to add 4x the current number of units to the Granville Site, so 440 rooms.
Haro Street... I know the problem with high-rise social housing in the past... but this is the West End. It should be reasonably integrated into the neighborhood instead of becoming a vertical ghetto.
Also, I find this comment in the DH article interesting.
