But at the same time, profiling can be deeply unfair and you can be harassed a lot for no reason if you just happen to fall in the wrong group. It might be fairer to ban reliance on some of these factors for profiling in the name of fairness even if they are real. There's an attempt to do this in a bunch of areas of Canadian law.
