As a new resident of the greater Québec area, I have the chance to go frequently in this captivating city. There's much more to Quebec City (as the anglos call it) than its walled city; it features a number of 18th and 19th centuries suburbs made of narrow streets, variegated working-class housing (St-Jean-Baptiste, St-Roch, St-Sauveur), rows of 3-storey plexes (Limoilou) or more affluent pockets (Montcalm).
Here's a small part of the suburb of Saint-Roch. I walked from its centre to the St. Lawrence river, at Louise basin, where the views over the old city are remarkable. Enjoy!
